Premiered in 2013, the critically acclaimed The Days was created based on late folk rock singer-songwriter Kim Kwang Seok's famous songs. The musical garnered various prizes that year at the 7th Musical Awards, the 19th Korea Musical Awards and the 2nd Seoul Musical Festival. Reopening this year, its third reboot stars Yoo Jun Sang, Oh Man Seok, Min Young Ki and Lee Geon Myung as Jung Hak, a rookie bodyguard of the presidential residence. He and his friend Moo Young (Oh Jong Hyuk, Ji Chang Wook, Son Seung Won) were assigned to protect a mysterious woman (Kim Ji Hyun, Shin Go Eun). However, the woman and Moo Young suddenly disappeared. Twenty years later, the President's daughter and her bodyguard go missing while celebrating the 20th anniversary of Korea-China diplomatic relations. Jung Hak recalls the night when his comrade disappeared.
The two-disc soundtrack of The Days encompasses the musical's major numbers accompanied by a 12-member orchestra, including Ji Chang Wook's "Though I Loved You," Oh Man Seok's "A Private's Letter," Min Young Ki's "On the Street" and "Tree" by Oh Man Seok and Oh Jong Hyuk. Seven bonus tracks and the MR versions of "Left Alone at Night," "Though I Loved You" and "On the Street" are also on the tracklist.
This edition comes with a 28-page booklet.
