Based on the popular manga by Sakuichi Harold and its equally popular animated adaptation, the coming-of-age rock band drama Beck finally hits the big screen! Directed by Tsutsumi Yukihiko (Trick, 20th Century Boys), Beck features a cast of the hottest young male actors working in Japan today, including Mizushima Hiro (in his last acting role before his hiatus), Sato Takeru (Rookies), Kiritani Kenta (Crows Zero), Nakamura Aoi (Koizora), and Mukai Osamu (Hanamizuki). Following a high schooler's journey into the rock world as a talented vocalist, Beck is an intimate epic about the spirit of music and maturing to learn the importance of friendship. Like any good music films, Beck features a rocking soundtrack by Gabriele Roberto (Confessions, Memories of Masuko), as well as songs by The Red Hot Chili Peppers and Oasis.
High schooler Koyuki (Sato Takeru) meets talented guitarist Ryusuke (Mizushima Hiro) and his half-sister Maho (Kutsuna Shiori) by chance one day. When Maho recognizes Koyuki's musical talent, Ryusuke decides to invite Koyuki to form a five-member band named Beck. The band eventually becomes popular when they release a single, but when the public attention becomes too focused on Koyuki, the resulting internal conflict - and other external obstacles - threaten to tear Beck apart.
