inagawa Mika takes on the life story of literary giant Dazai Osamu in the 2019 biopic No Longer Human. Titled after Dazai's representative 1948 novel Ningen Shikkaku, the photographer-turned-director's film fuses her famously luscious and colorful aesthetic style with the famous stories of the troubled author's womanizing and self-destructive way of life. Oguri Shun stars as the misanthropic author who feels alienated from society from a young age. He finds momentary release and refuge in writing, women and alcohol, leaving a trail of suffering behind him.  No Longer Human is framed around Dazai's turbulent relationships with three women, played by Miyazawa Rie, Sawajiri Erika and Nikaido Fumi, who influenced his life and art. Narita Ryo, Kora Kengo, Chiba Yudai, Seto Koji and Fujiwara Tatsuya also appear in the film.
