Following the first installment Along With the Gods: The Two Worlds, fantasy epic Along With the Gods: The Last 49 Days continues its journey through afterlife in one of Korea's biggest box office hits of 2018! Directed by Kim Yong Hwa (Take Off), the action-packed fantasy blockbuster is based on Joo Ho Min's popular web comic inspired by the Joseon dynasty Buddhist painting Ten Kings of Hell. Ha Jung Woo, Ju Ji Hoon, Kim Hyang Gi, Lee Jung Jae, Kim Dong Wook, Lee Joon Hyuk and EXO's D.O. all reprise their characters in the sequel. Ma Dong Seok (Train to Busan), who made a special appearance in the first installment, takes on the key role of Seongju Shin, the God of House. Following the trials of The Two Worlds, grim reapers Kang Rim (Ha Jung Woo), Deok Chun (Kim Hyang Gi) and Hae Won Maek (Ju Ji Hoon) take on the new task of defending Soo Hong (Kim Dong Wook) in the afterlife. Kang Rim pleads King Yeomra (Lee Jung Jae) to approve his reincarnation trials. Yeomra agrees on the condition that the grim reapers collect the soul of a certain elderly man (Nam Il Woo) who has been cheating death. Hae Won Maek and Deok Chun arrive in the mortal world, only to realize that the elderly man is being protected by the powerful God of House (Ma Dong Seok), who also carries memories of Kang Rim, Deok Chun and Hae Won Maek's past lives.
