Director Yang Yun Ho (Libera Me) draws on ideas from Bang Hakki's famous comic strip to depict how Choi overcame obstacles of being a Korean in Japan to become a legendary karate master. Star Yang Dong Geun went through immense physical torture to get his body in top shape in order to play Choi, and the result of all his hard work is clearly apparent on screen.
